Home Planet

Brand, Communications, and Marketing

Home Planet was a plant-based dairy brand I founded in Rio de Janeiro, built around a simple but ambitious idea: that sustainable, locally-sourced food could find a real market in Brazil. Our products were made from ethically sourced Brazilian cashews, and we ran a package-return program to keep our footprint as close to zero waste as possible.

Building the brand meant owning everything — from the communications strategy and visual identity to field marketing, partnerships, and product development. What follows is less a list of tasks and more a case study in what it looks like to build a brand from nothing.

Brand Identity & Packaging

I developed Home Planet's brand positioning and visual identity in collaboration with a graphic designer — translating the brand's values of sustainability, locality, and transparency into a look and feel that could hold its own on a market shelf. Packaging wasn't just aesthetic; it was a communications tool, designed to tell the brand story at the point of purchase.

Partnerships & Field Marketing

I built Home Planet's customer base through strategic partnerships — negotiating with local influencers, restaurants, markets, and events to reach high-value customers across key Rio neighborhoods. This approach kept customer acquisition costs low while building the kind of brand loyalty that sustains a consumer product long term.

Social Media & Content

I developed and managed all social media content across Instagram and Facebook — writing copy, directing visuals, and building a content strategy designed to grow an engaged community rather than just accumulate followers. Paid and earned media campaigns resulted in a 200% increase in online engagement and a 79% increase in web traffic in Q3 2023.
